You Have One
Life To
Make It All Work
MIKE MARCHEV
A weekly blog post designed for entrepreneurs of all industries and interests covering the four major areas of personal growth: Spiritual, Intellectual, Emotional, and Physical.
Regardless of your age, gender, experience, expertise, educational background, race or professional sports team preference you have been given a single opportunity to pursue your life’s goals as you choose.
I know, I know. I can hear many of you saying the same thing. “Mike, that is easy for you to say. You were born on third base and think you hit a triple.” I’m not inferring that I was not given a number of paths to follow, but I still had to choose one and see where it took me.
I believe it was Woody Allen who said it best when he shared this thought with us. “I have achieved many fine things in my life but I have not accomplished everything I set out to do. Of the things I failed to accomplish I have nobody to blame but myself.”
Thanks to a number of tools that are readily available to us, when it comes to growing a business, the sky really is the limit. The single factor that may be thwarting your progress just maybe you.
Starting today, do 1% more in a number of small ways. To borrow from another phrase set: “If not you… who? If not now … when?”
Think about the simple logic. THANK GOODNESS IT’S TODAY.
A great minister who I love to read and listen to, John Ortberg, author of “If you want to walk on water you have to get out of the boat” once said (more than once; I’ve heard him a lot) “You have your one and only life to live, how are you going to live it?” (Somewhat paraphrased.) And then he followed it with what has become my motto: Pursue Excellence.
I like it – short, sweet and to the point. Very true that are many (too many sometimes) tools readily available to us, and the choices I have are overwhelming and sometimes I feel like “that’s it! I can’t learn another app, I can’t add another function to my email, I can’t … ” and the list goes on. 1% is achievable, and I will give it a try. Thanks, Mike!
Great message. Results happen when you put in the effort even if it is one small thing everyday.
